To try and get the word out, I have been renting stalls at markets and setting up Pengi displays. Since they have been released, I’ve added vendors.
This way of doing things is fine by me (I’m not complaining), markets get the rent and I get any sales that may happen. However, it was asked of me if I would make affiliate vendors.
I decided to go one step further and make a whole kit. There are most of the props I use - all copyable (but no-mod, no-trans), and a set of vendors that give 10% to the affiliate.
What’s in the kit:
Also a couple of full perm textures.
My thinking is that this way:
- The market owner can set up where and how they like. (With their own props as well if they like)
- The market owner has the possibility of making more from vendors than my rent might bring in.
- Affiliate markets are listed as locations on the main pengi website.
- I don’t have to try and remember where I’ve rented stalls :)
I’m happy to continue the way things are - if you’re a market that I rent a stall at and would rather not use the affiliate kit, that’s fine. If you do want to, let me know and I’ll pack up my stall (so people use your vendors instead of mine when they visit your market).
What I do ask, is that markets be established, a reasonable size, and that the display is accessable to your visitors. (ie, I wont be giving them out to everyone so people can just buy from themselves). Also if you decide to close your market, please let me know!
If this interests you, please let me know and sent me a landmark to your market so I can visit and I’ll send you a kit.
